Personal Training in Regent’s Park, London
Regent’s Park is an unusual and fantastic outdoor training venue. You’ll see something different in every session with us. You may realise the trees are showing the first signs of a new season, while you’re sprint training and doing shuttle runs. You may notice a blackbird singing, while you’re working on standing core exercises. You may consider the architecture of the Nash terraces, as a brilliant backdrop to your intensive cardio workout. Training outdoors is a privilege and personal training Regents Park is rather special.

‘The local flavour of Regent’s Park makes it my favourite outdoor personal training venue …’
Unlike other Royal Parks, the Regent’s Park has a local flavour of the surrounding neighbourhoods: Marylebone, Belsize Park, Camden and Primrose Hill. It’s frequented more by local residents than tourists – especially during the working week. This means that there are plenty of semi-private spots where you can lay down a mat and go through a strength and core workout without interruption or interested onlookers: perfect for my personal training Regents Park clients. ‘Training on the park’s Jungle Gym is a superb challenge for all levels …’
The Jungle Gym in Regent’s Park, London is an extra-ordinarily useful piece of fitness apparatus for personal training. This massive structure comprises wooden logs and netting, like an adult-sized obstacle course. Curiously, it is not marked on the park’s own map and perhaps for this reason – and the fact that children love playing on the it – the jungle gym is underutilised as a fitness destination, by the legions of joggers passing by.
I find it invaluable as a structure that tests the body in unlimited ways – perfect for creating unusual and challenging workouts. Climbing over or under the jungle gym, requires unlimited combinations of movements, which are a real test of strength and endurance for my personal training Regents Park clients. [27 August 2010]

‘Training beside the Regent’s Canal, makes a great change of scene …’
The towpath of the Regent’s Canal, on the border of Regent’s Park, running between Little Venice and Camden, offers some of the city’s most quiet and picturesque waterside spots. I’ve gotten to know and appreciate this area, using it as a base for personal training Regents Park clients. As passing narrow boats chug by, my clients are performing push ups, pull ups or step ups. They’re running up and down the steps that lead to street level, developing a high level of cardiovascular fitness. If we choose to go for a run alongside the water, it’s nice to get away from it all for those few minutes, watching the sun on the water – a pleasant diversion from London‘s urban landscape.
