Local Fitness Coach, Jason Doggett, believes the first step to fitness shouldn’t be about warm-up exercises and a stopwatch – but rather a chat over a cup of tea.

‘Drop and gimme ten!  Kiss that dirt.’  An intimidating figure stands over you barking orders, blowing a whistle, watching you struggle with a set of exercises face-down in the mud.  This militant approach to fitness, popularized by reality tv shows like The Biggest Loser, is becoming increasingly common among personal trainers and bootcamp instructors.  But Fitness Coach and local business-owner, Jason Doggett, prefers to start training with a chat over a cup of tea.

‘Getting to know you, before jumping straight in, is important,’ Jason says.  ‘Fitness is not a comfort-zone for most people.  We didn’t all get picked for the school team.
